Today, I lead the transition to AI-driven engineering at Leavitt Group Enterprises. By embedding AI throughout the entire product lifecycle—from design and rapid prototyping to production-grade builds, code quality, and automated deployment—I am transforming how we build and deliver software.

My mission is to strategically guide the integration of AI into developer workflows, creating mutual value for both the organization and the engineering teams.

I champion an enablement-first approach that leverages AI to elevate output and empower developers, rather than replace them.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Values & Philosophy

A solid system design is only as strong as the development values behind it. Here are the core principles that guide my leadership and engineering decisions:

People First

I deeply value human relationships. Engineering is a team sport; empathy, transparent communication, and genuine connections always come first.

Advocate for Simplicity

Embrace the platform approach. Simple architectures carry fewer moving parts, minimize mental overhead, and scale best. Be prepared to defend why any added complexity is genuinely required.

Retain Understanding

Outsource your thinking, not your understanding. Code generation tools and co-pilots are exceptional speed multipliers, but never let them abstract away your baseline grasp of the system.

A BIT ABOUT ME

Beyond the Code

Born in Southern California and now based in Southern Utah, I balance a busy life raising two daughters with a passion for the outdoors. Beyond my work in software architecture, I spend my time hiking, skiing, surfing, and traveling—with Hawaii and Tokyo topping my list of favorite destinations.

At home, my love for engineering carries over into home automation, where I passionately automate our living space, much to the regular annoyance of a family that just wants to flip a normal light switch.
